How to Cook Print
  1. Microwave beef in red wine pot for 4 mins (lid on loosely), stir.
  2. Add root veg mash pot to microwave (lid on loosely) along with beef pot. Microwave both for further 2 mins until piping hot
  3. Season and microwave seasonal vegetables in bowl with 1 tbsp of water for 3-4 mins. (Alternatively steam or pan fry)
  4. Serve stew on mash with veggies.

G&T definitely listened to prior complaints about this dish hardly containing any beef. There was plenty of beef, and plenty of everything in what I received. I loved the root vegetable mash, which was a great accompaniment for the beef stew. I was a little at loss as to what the to do with the vegetables that arrived, because they looked nothing like the picture. There was fresh kale, but no whole, solid vegetables, only extremely thinly sliced vegetables like carrots, and some very small broccoli florets. I decided to steam them and put them at the side of the other ingredients with a mist of olive oil, but I can’t say it was that satisfying or interesting, nor a dealbreaker. I would definitely order it again, probably in the winter.

This was an easy weekday meal. The root vegetable mash was a nice addition instead of traditional mashed potatoes; I will order again.

I had read several complaints about the lack of the protein - where's the beef in fact. Our delivery was chock full of meat and it was very tasty. We enjoyed it very much and will certainly add it to our list of dishes we'd buy again. It was easy to prepare and just the thing for a chilly evening. Thank you.
